The weekly MST Net is held at 1930 hours Pacific Time on the
WW7MST Repeater System every Thursday night.
All MST members and visitors are encouraged to check in.
The purpose of the net is to:
Regularly verify operation of radio equipment.
Practice participating in a formal directed net.
Practice being a net control operator.
Exchange relevant information on amateur radio and MST activities.
The WW7MST repeater system is a 5 site linked, multi-repeater, multi-band system.
The 5 sites in the network are:
VA Hospital, Beacon Hill, Seattle
146.90 MHz -offset CTCSS/subaudible tone 103.5 Hz
VA Hospital, Beacon Hill, Seattle
443.550 MHz +offset CTCSS/subaudible tone 103.5 Hz
NW Hospital, Seattle
444.825 MHz +offset CTCSS/subaudible tone 103.5 Hz
(not operational; under repair)
Tacoma General Hospital, Tacoma
443.675 MHz +offset CTCSS/sub-audible tone 103.5 Hz
(functional standalone; not linked)
St. Peter Hospital, Olympia
440.550 MHz +offset CTCSS/sub-audible tone 103.5 Hz
(functional standalone; not linked)
We also encourage members to check in via Winlink. You can check in by sending a message to TRAIN-WW7MST via Winlink. The purpose of this is:
Practice using digital communications.
Test your Winlink setup to ensure it remains fully operational.
Check in to the net when out of town or during poor signal conditions.
We strongly encourage you to check in using a radio mode (e.g. packet or VARA). You can successfully check in via the web client or over telnet, but these do not meet the purpose of this mode as those will almost certainly not be available during an emergency.
Net Control Resources have moved to the Members Site here.
